Letâs start by debunking the ultimate myth: NO, maple butter contains no butter. We call it maple butter thanks to its smooth, spreadable texture. In fact, the only ingredient needed to make your favorite spread is maple syrup. You might be wondering how thatâs possible? Itâs simple: it all comes down to how you boil and cool the maple syrup. We have to boil it between 22.5 and 23 degrees above the boiling point of water. The product then needs to cool, before being stirred. Then you can spread it on bread or a croissant, or simply eat it straight with a spoon!
