Maple cake

A small pound cake perfect for brunch or to enjoy with a coffee! The principle of the pound cake is quite simple. The weight of the eggs indicates the weight of the other ingredients, namely the flour, sugar and butter. Thus, the four ingredients will form four quarters, a whole. Enjoy your meal!

Ingredients

  • 3 eggs 185gg)
  • 185g all-purpose flour
  • 185g butter
  • 92g maple sugar
  • 93g maple syrup
  • 2 tsp 10 mL baking powderque)

Preparation

Step 1. Preheat the oven to 325F and oil a pan well.

Step 2. In a bowl, cream the butter.

Step 3. Add the maple sugar. When everything is well incorporated, add the maple syrup.

Step 4. Then add 1 egg at a time, mixing well between each addition.

Step 5. Incorporate the baking powder into the flour.

Step 6. Incorporate the flour into the wet mixture in 2 or 3 steps.

Step 7. Transfer the mixture to the well-oiled pan.

Step 8. Bake for 35-40 minutes, then let cool completely.
